This year, there were two players who were worthy of MVP Honors. Actually, there were several but we at Scout.com had to narrow it down and we decided to honor two players with Co-MVP honors.
Offensively, the MVP goes to Terry Parker wide receiver A.J. Jenkins. He tested very well across the board and then dominated in all the 1-on-1 drills.
"It was a real good experience out there," Jenkins said. "Getting to compete with all those athletes, that doesn't happen every day. It was good for all of us because of the competition."
Jenkins talked about being named MVP.
"Being named Co-MVP, well, I'm not really a person who likes the attention," he said. "But it's good to know that I got recognized when all those other players were out there competing."
On the defensive side of the ball, the MVP goes to Ridge Community High standout Vincent Williams.
At 6-foot-1 and 226 pounds, Williams was excellent in all the testing areas and then dominated the 1-on-1 drills.
"It was an awesome experience," he said. "To go against the best from Florida and Georgia really tested my skills. Getting the Co-MVP is a great honor. There were a lot of good athletes and to be chosen as one of the best, that makes me feel real good because I trained a lot and tried real hard out there."
