The Kansas City Chiefs Organization will be hosting a Scout.com All-American Combine at their practice facility on Monday, and many of the area’s top talents are scheduled to attend. In this feature we preview some of the players who are going to be competing.

Quarterbacks-

Nathan Stanley
There are definitely a few good quarterbacks set to attend the camp. Oklahoma will send a pair of good ones in Sequoyah’s Nathan Stanley and Adair’s Kenny Davis. It will not only interesting to see who is the top quarterback in 2A, but maybe the entire state. Rock Bridge’s Jake Morse and Shawnee Mission Northwest’s Alex Carder are also very good players who are working towards their first scholarship offers. Carder and Morse both had a strong showing at the Army All-American Combine in San Antonio early in the year, and will be looking to make a similar impact tomorrow. Blaine Dalton could be one of the top players in the region in the 2009 recruiting class.

Running Backs-

Oklahoma standout Chris Adkins is planning to make it up to the combine, as is one of the most electrifying players in the “Show Me State”, Carlos Anderson. These two players will definitely be worth watching. Iowa’s Adam Robinson is electrifying on film, and it will be interesting to see how he stacks up. CBC’s Rayon Simmons will be another one to watch for.

Receivers-

Chris Harper has really caught fire lately in recruiting circles across the country. He recently added an offer from Nebraska and may make a run at a top 10 Midland ranking with a strong performance. Chase Mejia was an All-Combine performer in San Antonio, and he looks to repeat that performance again. Steven Staggs from Oskaloosa, Ia., will also be one of the top players at the position.

Tight Ends-

The talent will definitely be coming out at the tight end position. The Midland’s No. 7 player Andrew Jones will be there trying to defend his All-Combine honors from a year ago, but Spencer Ladner and Tanner Hawkinson will likely have something to say about that. Nebraska’s Damon Bechtold will also be in the mix.

Offensive Line-

Name
Tyler Barnes’ is a beast on film, and he is looking to emerge as a top prospect. Silver Lake’s Logan Pegram recently added his first official scholarship offer from Colorado State. Arkansas is also sending Bryant Newell who will also rack up plenty of offers by the time it is said and done. Kansas lineman Isaiah Porter is flying low on the radar now, but people have suggested that he could be very good. These prospects definitely seem to be on the verge of some very good offers, and strong showing will only help their cause. One thing is certain, the lineman are always one of the funnest groups to watch in the one-on-ones.

Defensive Line-

Iowa’s Jake McDonough will certainly be one of the top players to walk through the doors of the facility. Rossville’s Duane Zlatnik, Moore’s Cody Hughes, and Gretna’s Mark Mintken will also be in attendance.

Linebackers-

The linebacker sign up started off slow, but in the end we will have some solid numbers. Iowa’s L.J. Gamblin, Nebraska’s Graham Stoddard, Missouri’s Trenton VandeVender and Arkansas’s Mario Goines lead the pack.

Defensive Back-

Gabe Lynn
DeMarco Paine will be an interesting player to watch, as will 2009 Oklahoma standout Gabe Lynn. Lynn’s brother Phillip Dillard was former Army All-American and currently plays for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Jarard Milo will also be one of the more intriguing prospects at the camp.
