| UA/Scout Combine Miami: QB's | ||||
![]() Denard Robinson
|
The Under Armour/Scout.com Combine hit South Florida this past Saturday and many of the state's premier prospects were there. A lot of kids put themselves on the recruiting map with their strong performances. Lets take a closer look at some of the top quarterbacks at the event. | |||
|
Top Performer: The most impressive quarterback performer on the day was Deerfield Beach's Denard Robinson. Although he checked in at just 6-feet and 176 pounds, his 4.39 40-time was just one of the many good things he did on Saturday. His testing numbers were the best of any quarterback at the event and he showed that he can throw it to with some strong passes during the 1 on 1 drills. It was easy to see why Robinson already has several scholarship offers and will likely be getting many more.
Other Standouts: Jeff Godfrey -- While he only goes 5-11 and 170, Godfrey threw the ball as well as anyone at the event. He has a big time arm, especially for his size, and is only getting better and better. We saw him at this same event a year ago and he's gotten a lot better and we expect the same when he shows up next year, considering he's also a Class of 2010 prospect. If he's able to grow a little, he'll likely be a national recruit next year. Chris Schirippa -- At 6-1.5 and 180 pounds, Schirippa tested pretty well and had a good day throwing the football. He doesn't get to throw the ball a whole bunch in his high school offense so that's why it was good to see him matching up so well on Saturday.
