Nolan Kearney

Eastern Pennsylvania has four solid quarterback prospects and they will all be in attendance on Sunday. Nolan Kearney (Downingtown West), Ryan Nassib (Malvern Prep), Chris Johnson (Roman Catholic) and Pete O’Connor (Downingtown East) will be representing the Keystone State. The state of New Jersey will be represented by the likes of Demetrius Richardson (Cherokee) and Stephen Shimko (Ewing). One of the shining future stars from Washington, D.C. Emmanuel Yeager will be out to make a name for himself.

Lamaar Thomas

There is a wealth of talent at the running back position led by Lamaar Thomas from Friendly High in Fort Washington, Md., and Rashad White from Teaneck, N.J. White has already committed to Rutgers and Thomas holds a number of scholarship offers. Greg Wanamaker from Camden Catholic is also another very talented back. Eastern Pa., will be well represented by Eric Reynolds from Central Bucks South and Derrick Jones from Perkiomen Valley. A sleeper to watch is Jordan Todman from Dartmouth, Mass.

Vaughn Carraway

The wide receiver position will feature some very talented and very big prospects like Brooklyn’s Khalif Staten, New Jersey native Lynell Payne from Cherokee and one of the biggest sleepers in the Northeast Marcus Cooper. The best of the lot could be Muhlenburg standout Vaughn Carraway. The Laureldale, Pa., star holds offers from UConn, Boston College and Michigan. Staten has been offered by Purdue, while Payne has been offered by Clemson and UConn.

Two of the top tight ends who were scheduled to attend Mark Wedderburn and Hubie Graham both suffered recent injuries and will now attend the May combine in Pittsburgh. Ramapo sleeper Hendrick Jean and Vermont native Carl Cutler will be trying to take advantage of the exposure to make a name for themselves.

Leon Mackey

Don’t tell this group that size doesn’t matter. There will be some mammoth linemen in attendance including Boyertown Pa., standout Tyler Sands, New York native and brand new Rutgers pledge Devon Watkis. Westport, Conn., tackle Ryan Sedlacek will be out to prove that he deserves to be mentioned with the best in the Northeast. Leon Mackey from Christiana, Del., is one of the most physically impressive athletes anywhere in the region.

Jewhan Edwards

Jewhan Edwards and Chris Palmer will be representing the city of brotherly love. New Jersey native Jarel Lowery who holds a Maryland offer will be out to dominate as will Brandywine, Del., standout James Terry. Conestoga’s Trevor Behmke and Paterson Catholic’s Doug Alston will be displaying their pass rushing skills. The sleeper of this group may be Eric Kuraczea from Connecticut or Brandon Matter from Maryland.

Eric LeGrand

Roxbury standout Brendan Beal will headline the linebacker group. Beal currently holds a number of offers from some elite programs. Colonia’s Eric LeGrand is out to prove that he deserves to be mentioned in the same category as Beal when talking about the states top backers. Pennsylvania has some decent linebackers of its own and Geoffrey Prather (Archbishop Carroll) and Ashton Burno (Susquehanna Township)will be out to showcase their skills. Keep an eye out on 2009 prospect Nick Sizemore from Manheim Township. He may be one of Pennsylvania’s top prospects next season.

New Brunswick, N.J. standout Brandon Smith is one of the best prospects in the region on either side of the ball. Marcus Spann has the size of a linebacker but the J.F.K. standout can cover like a defensive back. Grant Mayes (Seton Hall Prep), DeVaughn Gordon (North Plainfield) and Dwayne Gratz (Piscataway) are also very talented defensive backs from the Garden State.
