| Jones is the type of wide receiver that will do the dirty work for you. He'll go over the middle and make the tough grab in traffic knowing he is going to get punished by the secondary. Jones shows soft hands and excellent concentration. He doesn't have blazing top end speed but enough to get open and make plays in the open field. Jones also does a nice job of adjusting to the ball in the air. He is strong and physical. |

Jones is a three-year starter at Cummings. He started at defensive back his first two seasons and made the Burlington Times-News all-region team as a sophomore. He caught 49 passes for 962 yards, an average of 19.6 yards, and eight touchdowns as a junior.
Coach's Comments: "Dwight is our everything. If we need someone shut down on defensive like a receiver, you can lock Dwight on him. If we need to stop the run, we can play Dwight at defensive end. If you've got to have him as a tight end, he can play that. And he's got size and speed to play the wide receiver." -- Cummings offensive coordinator Jay Purdue |
