| As a junior, Worthington excelled on both offense and defense earning the Area Player-of-the-Year Award. From his tailback position he rushed 140 times for 1,129 yards (8.06-yard average), and eight touchdowns. On defense, he accumulated 96 tackles and four interceptions.
