| Plays in a run first and run second offense, but has the arm strength and decision making ability to be very good.
In 2005, Davis completed 70 of 125 pass attempts for 834 yards with 15 touchdown passes. He threw just three interceptions on the year and two of those were hail mary attempts at the end of halves.
Quarterbacked his team to a 12-1 overall record and won the Mississippi Region 4 4A title.
West Lauderdale Head football Coach, Stan McCain said, "Austin is very heady. He is the kind of kid who won't get you beat. He has a big arm, but in our offense we just don't have to throw it much."
