| Katz finished his junior year with 1945 passing yards, 19 touchdowns, four interceptions, 239 rushing yards and another five scores. Earned First Team All-Ocean League honors and was named Santa Monica's Offensive MVP. He benches 285 pounds, squats 405 and power cleans 275.
Threw for 1,578 yards as a sophomore in 2005 for Santa Monica (Calif.) High. Was 104-for-199 on the year, throwing 20 touchdown passes and three interceptions. Also rushed for a pair of touchdowns on the ground. Earned Second Team All-Ocean League honors and was named Santa Monica's Offensive MVP.
Katz reports a 3.8 core GPA and is awaiting his SAT results from March 10 and plans on taking his ACT for the first time in April.
Katz: "My accuracy and my footwork are definitely my strong points. I know I'm really stable at both, although I wouldn't say I'm 100 percent. I don't believe anybody can say that. I need to work on using my eyes better on the field - looking for the safeties and just knowing where everyone is at all times."
