| With his size and continued growth WILL would not be surprising either. He has good size and body control. Has strong hands and can catch the ball outside of his frame. Good in traffic and in the red zone. More of a possession receiver than a burner, but he can move the chains. He does have a high ceiling and could be very good at the next level. |
| Biography: |
As a junior, Ed Tinker caught 36 passes for 516 yards and three touchdowns; he says he benches 225 pounds, squats 430 and has a 38-inch vertical jump.
Final senior (12-0, first round of the Quad A playoffs) stats: 28 receptions for approx. 450 yards and seven touchdowns; four interceptions and two fumbles caused. He was named to the "Fabulous 22" team by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Tinker reports 2.4 core GPA, but says this winter semester he earned a 2.8. He scored a 740 SAT and is retaking the test on Jan. 26. "I'm taking SAT prep classes because I really need to get my score up. I know I need to get around a 910 (SAT) to qualify."
Tinker: "I can catch and run good routes. I do everything really well and I have a great attitude too. I go hard on every play and am very competitive.
"I still want to improve my footwork and routes, and I'm also trying to work on my hands and catching."
