| has a good first step and uses his hands very well. He does a nice job of stuff the run and getting penetration. Goebel is overpowering at the point of attack and shows good speed and quickness for a big man in the trenches. He also shows good discipline and patience and the ability to read a play and then react. Goebel has a great frame, long arms, and good footwork and looks like he would make a very good offensive tackle prospect as well. |
| Biography: |
| As a junior, Goebel racked up 16 tackles for loss and nine sacks on his way to All-Area and All-Conference honors for his play along the defensive line. He bench presses 345 pounds.
Goebel reports a 2.7 core GPA and a 22 ACT. He's fully qualified and does not plan on taking the SAT or retaking the ACT.
Goebel: "I'm really tough and have good strength. "I love playing physical and working hard. I can play offense or defense, but I like hitting people and think that offense is more fun. I want to improve my quickness and agility and be tougher to block."
