| Boyd is a leader and a winner. He is one of those guys that makes everyone around him better. He shows a lot of poise in the pocket and is more of a pocket guy than he is a dual threat QB. He has a strong arm and decent touch on his deep balls. Boyd needs to work on his decision making as we see him try and force the action from time to time. | As a junior, Tajh Boyd completed 131 of 189 passes for 2059 yards, 25 touchdowns and six interceptions. He also rushed for 500 yards and seven touchdowns. He was named District Player of the Year, Regional Player of the Year and second-team All-State quarterback; He benches 305 pounds, squats 425 and reports a 29-inch vertical jump.
Final senior (15-0, 3A Div. 5 champions)stats: 1,500 yards passing, 23 touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns.
Boyd plans to major in sports marketing and reports a 2.9 core GPA and a 18 ACT.
Boyd: "I have a quick release. And a pretty strong arm. I can move around in the pocket well. I'm more of a pro-style quarterback, but have good movement. I can be a dual-threat, but I'm always looking to throw before I run."
"I'm still trying to read defenses better and see the field better. I also want to work on some of my mechanics.
"Some people say I'm small. But I'm 6-foot-1 and change, so I wouldn't say I'm exactly vertically challenged."
