| A very strong and accurate passer, Caldwell is able to make most of the throws. Has very quick feet and never grows stagnant in the pocket, allowing him to navigate very well and read blocks. Always stays over his feet, so he rarely loses anything on his throws. Tends to stare down receivers but has the arm strength to deliver the ball safely at this level. 2008: Completd 230 of 393 passing attempts for 3,260 yards and 31 touchdowns. Scoring 14 rushing touchdowns.
An athletic quarterback that can hurt a team with his arm and his legs, Caldwell is a pass first signal caller that uses his mobility to buy time and look down field. As a junior, Caldwell completed 113/189 passes for 1842 yards and 21 passing TDs. He also ran for 5 rushing TDs. He led his team to the 2nd round of the State Playoffs and earned Georgia All State Honorable Mention, All Region (1st team), and All County (1st team) honors. Tony takes all AP and Honors courses and maintains a 3.8 GPA placing him in the top 5% of his class. He has also earned recognition as a Georgia Certificate of Merit recipient.
