| During his 2008 senior season at Chino Hills (Calif.) Ayala, was named the Sierra League MVP and one of the Inland Empire's Top 10 players by the Los Angeles Times. Rushed for 670 yards on 100 carries and scored nine touchdowns, caught 36 passes for 475 yards and five touchdowns and returned 12 kicks for 300 yards. Had 75 tackles and three interceptions for 70 yards. Tallied 1,514 all-purpose yards. Named Team Captain and Sierra League Captains Council. Named First Team All-CIF Central Division. For the second straight year, David was named to the All-San Bernardino County Football Team by the San Bernardino County Chapter of the National Football Foundation & College Football Hall of Fame. Selected to play in three All-Star Games, including the Elite Sports Game in Hawaii.
As a junior at Chino Hills (Calif.) Ayala, Quiroga had 72 receptions for 1096 yards and 10 touchdowns. Carried the ball 51 times for 282 yards and scored four times. Had eight kickoff returns for 203 yards. Totalled 1,581 all-purpose yards and 14 touchdowns. Lead Sierra League in receptions, reception yards and total touchdowns. Honored by the National Football Foundation & College Football Hall of Fame as an all-San Bernardino County Football Team selection (one of two juniors selected).
